  COURSE DATES

The PFS Nutrition advisor course will give our students a broad understanding of Nutrition.  The course will touch on crucial areas including nutrients and the digestive system, weight control, and management, diets for various populations.

This is a huge opportunity to expand on the services you offer as a trainer; by fully understanding these components you can advise your clients on how to achieve amazing results. This course will enable students to advise clients on their eating habits to make small adjustments to their body weight and composition. This course does not enable students to advise any clients that have any underlying medical conditions or obese clients; this advice must be given by a fully qualified Dietician.

If you want to have the full scope of knowledge to succeed as a Personal trainer or if you have a keen interest in Nutrition the PFS Nutrition Advisor is an absolute must have certification. 

 

PFS FITNESS NUTRITION ADVISOR® INCLUDE FOUR MODULES.

Module 1 PFS NUTRITION INTRODUCTION®

  • Macronutrients: Protein, Fat and Carbohydrates. We will look at the structure of the macronutrients, their functions, digestion, sources and how they contribute of a healthy die
  • The Digestive System: Optimisation and common conditions that can disrupt digestion.
  • Calories: Their role in a healthy diet.

Module 2 PFS FITNESS SUPPLEMENTATION®

  • Micronutrients: Vitamins and Minerals and supplementation
  • ‘Superfoods’: Explore foods, herbs and spices are particularly beneficial for health
  • Fluid and Hydration: The importance of hydration for health and performance
  • Ergogenic Aids: Explore supplements can enhance performance

Module 3 PFS WEIGHT MANAGEMENT® 

  • Energy requirements: Knowing your calories and exploring the usefulness of tracking.
  • Over and Under Nutrition: Explore biological responses to over and under feeding.
  • Diets: What they all have in common for weight management.
  • Healthy Eating Guidelines: Impact of macronutrients and micronutrients on weight management.

Module 4 PFS NUTRITION FOR SPECIFIC GROUPS®

  • Heart Disease
  • Diabetes

Course hours that require 100% attendance: 4 days   

Additional self-study hours: 12 - 24 hours* the time burden can vary depending on individual ability and dedication.

The PFS NUTRITION ADVISER examination is designed to help understand all the information contained in the course and it consists of:

An exam on: Nutrition Introduction, Fitness Supplementation, Weight Management & Nutrition for specific groups

We assess our students after each module using a multiple choice questionnaire consisting of 16 questions (pass mark 75%). There are four modules which must be passed to receive certification.

COURSE NAME: PFS NUTRITION ADVISER

Qualification obtained: PFS Nutrition ® FITNESS NUTRITION ADVISER (EQF level 3|NQF level 4)

Study Mode: Theory in live on-line classes and mandatory Self-study.

Examination: Required - Information available on the EXAM tab found above.

 

ACCREDITATION

ProFi Fitness School is the only approved Nutrition Advisor provider in Ireland by ACE (American Council on Exercise) approved for 7.0 ACE CECs.

All PFS qualifications meet industry standards that have been developed and published by the European Health & Fitness Association (EHFA).

 

PAYMENT RULES 

We operate on a first come, first serve basis with no exceptions.

To secure your place on the course the payment should be made upon registration.

We allow 5 calendar days to receive payment before your place is given to another person that has paid.

After 5 calendar days have passed, and we haven't received any payment, you will need to register again if places are still available.

There is no way to prolong the 5 calendar days. Registrations are not accepted if you have already registered and the initial 5 days have not elapsed.

If we have received a late Early Bird payment (i.e. you registered for the Early Bird but we haven't received payment within 5 calendar days) you will be liable for the Normal Price as outlined in our Terms & Conditions. No exceptions will be made.

If you have signed up at the Normal Price or Early Bird price and we haven't received the full amount from you before the start of the course, then you will be subject to Instalment payments.

This offer is only available on selected courses, dates or locations. When displayed, the offer expires  28 calendar days before the start of the course.

Regular Price

Payment must be made in full and received by us before the course starts. Please take into account that bank transfers may take time and we operate on a first come first serve basis with no exceptions as outlined in Payment Rules.
